Step 1: Find a Partner

Find a friend, colleague or family member to collaborate with. Each partner begins an artwork, and ships it via the USPS to the other person. If you are having trouble finding a partner, there is a Facebook Group called Artists for the USPS where you can find partners and share your experience

Step 2: Make Some ART!

Each partner begins an artwork to mail to the other to finish. Drawings, Painting, Sculpture - all mediums accepted.  PLEASE NOTE: Size is limited by the the size USPS can ship.  Some SHOWS have size restrictions.  


TIP:   Sign your artwork before it’s mailed so that the finished piece has both signatures! 

Step 3: Follow CDC Guidelines

 Follow all CDC health guidelines when shipping and receiving packages. 

Step 4: Finish & Post your Work

Post your half begun artwork and completed artworks to your social media 

PLEASE TAG: @uspsartproject in your captions and use the hashtags #uspsartproject #artistsfortheusps (on either Instagram or Facebook)  


Download the image to the left and include it with your posts to help encourage others to play!

Step 5: REPEAT - have more fun!

Repeat as often as you like! There is no limit to how many collaborations you do, however if submitting for the exhibitions, please follow that venues guidelines for submissions.

Step 6: Submit to Show Venues

Decide with your partner if you would like to show and/or sell your piece.  Artists for USPS is partnering with venues around the country to showcase the finished works of this project!

Generate excitement for your collaboration!

Take a nice photo of the artwork BEFORE artwork and SHARE IT with your FINAL IMAGE.  Post the BEFORE and AFTER  photo on your social media - PLEASE USE HASHTAGS: #USPSARTPROJECT and #ArtistForTheUSPS Feel free to use additional hashtags :)
